I found Blooming Dragonfly from a Google search for florists in St. Augustine. I was looking for one whose name I couldn’t remember and was hoping to find it in a general search. When I saw Blooming Dragonfly was close to the neighborhood I was seeking a delivery for, I picked it on a whim. I got a confirmation email for the order. I requested a same day delivery. Around 6 pm when I realized that I never got a delivery confirmation, I started to dig in a little. I checked in with the recipient. They hadn’t received a delivery. The phone numbers for BD listed don’t ring through. The email listed doesn’t accept incoming email. The Facebook page has one post from years ago. 99% of the reviews were one star. The Better Business Bureau showed a complaint had been filed in 2024. I was beginning to conclude I’d been ripped off. Then I noticed they claimed to be affiliated with Bloomnation. I looked on BN’s website and they aren’t listed as an affiliated vendor. I emailed BN. They responded immediately and confirmed that BD is affiliated. About that time, the recipient texted to say the orchid had just been delivered. After reading the reviews about the poor quality of the fresh cut flowers, I was thankful that I had ordered a plant. I got a confirmation email around midnight. At the end of the day, BD delivered the same day. My advice to BD is to update all of your contact information, get BN to list you on their website and get you reviews cleaned up.
